I just wanted to say BE ENCOURAGED!

We really are living in a devastating time in our lives. Just like the rebel forces in Star Wars #8, we are in a beaten up place and ready to rethink the entire direction of how we beat this awful rise of this awful empire we live in now. It certainly has reached critical mass and needs dealt with seriously. BUT WE ARE! WE ARE RISING!

And we WILL WIN in the end!

We lost our rebel princess. The world seems completely upside-down. The empire appears to be winning, BUT this is no time to give up. #JoinTheResistance

There are many of us of a certain age who are seeing industries we made livings within dissolve. We are watching the whole idea of work and jobs transforming. The human race has hit ages in our history where the entire base of civilization transformed. The most poignant shift that is referenced a lot is the industrial age. We are in one such age again and many who are hardest hit are those around 50 who as children who lived and loved the media diet of pop sensations like Star Wars are now seeing even the basics of life changing in ways that feel all too much like the world is coming to an end.

But it is not. It is just shifting.

We take a lot at the things we loved from the past and how there are similar things now and how excitement for those changes can stimulate our vision of the world and ideas about how we engage with it. Exciting stuff!
